Tucked away in the Bridgemill Commons shopping center you will find an unexpected neighborhood jewel. This cool café-coffee shop-hang-out has boho vibes with large tropical plants and earthy wooden décor and comfy leather seating that invites you to share your favorite tea or coffee with a friend and stay a while. Owner Shannon Sloop rescued most of the plants from office buildings where they were dying during covid and clearly has a special touch and refers to them as “her babies”.
She also has a way of making you feel like family from the moment you arrive and describes how she and her husband loved the location that adjoins the Bridgemill neighborhood and has direct access to Hwy 521:
“Living local in the community we wanted to create a place that families could bring their kids and meet up with neighbors and friends for a quick bite or to enjoy a craft cocktail or a beer or wine from our extensive selection.”
During the summer they displayed student artwork from Indian Land High and later also sponsored a puppy adoption on the patio for a local rescue. She explained when they opened during covid it became a haven for families schooling and working at home to walk or ride their golf carts over to enjoy a coffee drink or an afternoon slushie. Mornings are a favorite busy time as they offer daily fresh baked bagels, avocado toast and yogurt parfaits and fast Wifi along with their fresh roasted coffee selection. A variety of Panini’s have been added and the charcuterie boards are a favorite.
With the beautiful Carolina weather, you will not want to miss the live music on the patio on Saturday evenings as well as Tuesday Music Bingo night that has become a local favorite with a $5 gift card for participation and a $250 cash prize for the winner of the final round. A great idea for a girl’s or guys night out or come by after dinner for a delicious homemade dessert and coffee.
October 9th the Bridgemill Commons will be celebrating their first anniversary with a fall festival!
Come out and enjoy live music and great food and fun!
