Whether you are a foodie or occasionally enjoy dining out, you will not want to miss the upcoming culinary event in Lancaster county. The Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce is holding the event Saturday, Sept. 11 through Saturday, Sept. 18. to show support and recognition for the area restaurateurs during these times of struggle caused by the pandemic and labor shortage. This event invites diners to sample the array of diverse restaurants in our area and enjoy fixed specials and discounts. Whether you enjoy indoor dining or dining al fresco there will be something to suit your taste.

“It is a way to promote these restaurants during these times,” said Casey Ballard, chamber membership director and events coordinator.

This is a first – time event for the chamber that will be a great opportunity to venture out and rediscover the joy of dining out and experiencing new foods and eateries. Restaurant week started in NY City in 1992 by Tim Zagat creator of the Zagat survey, and Joe Baum, a local restaurateur. It became such a success that it is now an annual event which has spread throughout the country.

The chamber has created a special hashtag for those who want to check in on social media and support the establishments by posting at #LancasterCountyEats.
